A group of noted microbiology and infection control specialists from across GCC and other Middle Eastern countries have gathered  in Muscat on November 5 for a day of scientific presentations and discussions with their Omani colleagues.  The meeting titled “1^stMiddle East Xpert Club” was organized by Cepheid and aimed at bringing specialists together for sharing experience and achievements in management of Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in MRSA, CRE and MTB. Participants included 41 specialists from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Pakistan and 21 from Oman.
